Facebook has removed a series of ads from Spanish-language websites and other digital channels that it believes were misleading.
According to Facebook, the ads violated the company’s policies on advertising and “disparaging or disparaging information”.
In a blog post, Facebook said that ads “that are false, misleading, or otherwise misleading” will be removed.
It added that users can report suspicious activity to Facebook by visiting the ‘report suspicious activity’ page on their account, or by using the ‘Report a scam’ option.
While Facebook says that it will review the ads it removes, it also warns that users should “make sure they are not violating any of the policies”.
Facebook said it also has a team working to remove the ads from other platforms.
